WWEYLC’s will ensure that all children attending the service are delivered an Educational program based upon an approved learning framework. (EYLF – Early Years Learning Framework)

Our Educational program encompasses all the interactions, experiences, routines and events – planned and unplanned – that occur each day in our environments.  Through an ongoing cycle of gathering, interpreting, planning and reflecting our Educators create environments that engage children and are meaningful to them.

Working in partnerships with families is the vital link to ensuring that all children experience belonging, being and becoming.  These partnerships have a significant effect on children’s involvement and success in learning.  Children thrive when families and educators work together in partnership to support their learning.

Educators develop a program based upon their sound knowledge of each child, by identifying their strengths and interests, choosing appropriate teaching strategies and designing stimulating learning environments.

Children’s learning is ongoing and each child will progress towards the learning outcomes in different and meaningful ways.  Our Educators establish secure, respectful relationships with each child and value children’s ideas, knowledge and play.  Working collaboratively with children creates an environment based upon trust, respect and shared decision making, ensuring that each child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

Our learning environments are welcoming spaces, which aim to reflect and enrich the lives and identities of children and families attending our service.  With a focus on natural materials we aim to provide inviting open-ended spaces which support interactions, spontaneity, risk-taking, exploration, discovery and a connection with nature.  They foster an appreciation for the natural environment, develop environmental awareness and provide a platform for ongoing environmental education.

WWEYLC offer a Preschool Program in a Long Day Care Setting and we recognise the Early Years as a critical period in a child’s development. University trained Early Childhood teachers will work closely in partnership with you throughout the year in guiding educational learning outcomes for your child in preparation for their school readiness.
